Oct, 28th ~ 29th. Schaeffler Korea participated 2014 Hyundai Kia Int'l Powertrain Conference. Participants disscussed the environmental policy and share the innovative technology.
End of October, Schaeffler Korea Organizational Activation Education(OAE) Level 2 has started. Level 2 course is follwing of OAE Level 1. This course will end until March of 2015.
Sep 27th, Schaeffler Korea Seoul office held a town hall meeting as vist of Mr. Klaus Rosenfeld. Mr. Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler Group announced the 2014 result and 2015 management direction. And he had Q&A session with Korea employees.
Nov, 29th. Schaeffler Asia Pacific and Korea employees participated the volunteering coking event. They made a cookies and cake with 30 children. It was a meaningful time for everyone to give a love to poor children.
Dec 20th, The youth volunteer EVERGREEN visited the handicapped person care center. And they had a Christmas party together. One of the volunteer dressed the Santa and gave them a gift.
Dec 20th, Jeonju plant Employee and the youth volunteer EVERGREEN participated the deliver briquette volunteering activities. Although the weather was bad, they delivered the 4,000 briquette to the senior citizens who live alone.
Nov 8th, 7 employees from Jeonju plant are visited the Emanuel’s hill welfare center to cleaning the facilities. And 4 employees from Jeonju plant are visited the sohwa jindallae welfare center to have a small music concert on Dec 10th.
Dec 3rd, Jeonju plant awarded a scholarship for the students. A scholarship awarded to 23 students from the high school and elementary school.
Dec 5th, Lecture of practical law for sales representatives. Mr. Hong from Schaeffler AG Legal taught the Group contract guide line, product liability law. Except seoul office, employees were participated with WebEX.
Seoul office employees are having a volunteer activity for every month. Each team or department(Oct : Industrial division, Nov : Purchasing, Dec : Transmission sales) visited the Jongro welfare center for volunteering activity. They cleaned the canteen and distribute the food for seniors.
Nov 27th, Mr. Lothar Hofmann who are in charge of material development of Schaeffer Tech visited the Changwon R&D center. He discussed the issues of materials and had a chance to set up the direction of material R&D in Korea.

Nov 14th, Changwon plant held hiking event for employee which is called ‘Nosa hanmaum sanhaeng’.All employees separated as a 5 group. And every group had a hiking with some group activity.
Nov 2nd, Jeonju plant held an athletic festival to promote the employees. 500 people from Jeonju plant and suppliers participated and had a time for unification.
Oct 28th ~ 29th, Schaeffler Korea attended the Global company job fair at COEX. This fair introduce the unknown global company to applicants. Total 96 company participated include Schaeffler Korea.
Oct 12th, The youth volunteer EVERGREEN participated Gyoung-nam marathon as a volunteer. And they served the food for a marathoner.
GM Korea had held SMB(Supplier Business Meeting) at Phoenix Island in Jeju Island.
Schaefler korea was invited to this meeting to award “GM Supplier quality Excellence Award”.
On behalf of president Mr. Kim, Jae-Hun The head of T/M sales division the head of Engine System division Mr. Nam, Jang-hyun attended in this ceremony. Two plants of Korea (Changwon, Ansan) were awarded in this year.
Jul 31st, Changwon plant achieved the production of TRB, 500 million per months. And ceremony held on Aug 1st.
Sep 4th, Ansan plant employees visited the Ansan Emmouse center. They invited the multicultural families and made stuffed rice cakes together.
For the first step of public relations via social media, Shaeffler Group made the Youtube and Twitter page. Schaeffler Press page of Twitter will be the one of important communication channel to contact with the press and customers.

Aug 23th, the youth volunteers EVERGREEN visited the DDP(Dongdaemun Design Plaza) with the handicapped. They walked around the site and took a photo shoot together.
Aug 16th, The youth volunteer EVERGREEN Changwon region are visited the welfare center for the handicapped. They clean up the facilities and environment with employees. Also they visited the orphange on Sep 27th, and had a picnic with the children.
Changwon plant awarded a scholarship for the students, Sep 26th. A sscholarship awarded to 70 students from the high school and elementary school. This scholarship works called “Sharing hope scholarship”, begun in 2003 and 720 students got a scholarship until now.
Environmental safety training of ¾ quarter held in Ansan plant. The topic was about the evacuation plan, safety accident, working environment measurement result, etc.
june 28th, family of eight employees from Jeonju plant are visited the jesus welfare center and fix the fan to uses for summer. and family of eleven employees are visited the sohwa jindallae welfare center to cleaning the facilities on Aug 23rd.
Aug 23rd, The youth volunteer EVERGREEN Jeonju region are visited the Songcheon welfare center for the mentoring. They are helping the children to study and had a Jajangmyun party.
Jun 25, Changwon plant held the celebration for the family of Patriots and Veterans. They visited the Yeongsan National Cemetery and paid their respects at the National Cemetery.
Jun 2, Schaeffler Korea's anniversary event was held in seoul office and each plant. This year is 61st anniversary from Shinhan Bearing’s establishment. Before the CEO’s speech, the company presented a prize for long-term employees and the model employee.
Jun 1, the youth volunteer in Changwon visited the farm to help the farmers, harvest the crops. And they tear down the vinyl green house. The voluntary activity started at 10 am and it ended at 5 pm.
May 27, Steel symposium held in Gyoungju. The presentation was about bearings for steel mill, quality management, installation of bearings. Also, they discussed about bearings with the customers.
May 21, five employees from Seahbesteel visited the Changwon R&D center for steel bar specification meeting. They shared the information about steel bar and discussed about the quality improvement and development of new steel bar.
May 16, Finance team visited the Jongro welfare center for volunteering activity. They cleaned the canteen and distribute the food for seniors. Each department of Seoul office will visit here for volunteering activity every month.
180 parents from Changwon plant had a one day trip to the island, Geojaedo for parent’s day event. This event held every year for the parents of Jeonju plant employees.
120 parents from Jeonju plant had a one day trip to the island, Sorokdo and Geogumdo for parent’s day event. This event held every year for the parents of Jeonju plant employees.
5, May. The youth volunteer EVERGREEN Changwon region are visited the welfare center for the handicapped. They clean up the facilities and environment with employees. They will have a picnic with the handicapped next time.
The youth volunteer EVERGREEN joined the painting mural for a redevelopment area. Overall mural themes are came from the vilage name, Pumpkin valley. They are plan to have the activity four times to complete the painting.
Apr. 26, twelve employees from Jeonju plant are visited the sohwa jindallae welfare centerto cleaning the facilities. And 22 employees from Jeonju plant are visited the Emanuel’s hill welfare center to cleaning the facilities on May, 24.
The management briefing 2014 held in Changwon, Jeonju, Ansan, Seoul(Apr 22. ~ Apr 30.). The presentation was carried out for the management status and prospects by the CEO Kim, Jae hun. Right after his presentation, we had a Q&A session to discuss everything about the company.
April 4, The 2014 youth volunteer EVERGREEN orientation held in Seoul. They shared the annual plans and introduce each other. 25 students will participate the volunteering activity in Seoul. Furthermore, Changwon and Jeonju plant also will have the volunteering activity with 10 students.
March 20, The President of Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuernberg and dean of colleges was visited the RR&D Center to discuss the Business and Academic Cooperation system.
March 17 to 21, Education for Leading technology development progress and how to use Planisware has held in R&D, Changwon. Through the education, we made the chance to proceed with the leading technology development by standard procedures of the Schaeffler Group.
March 19, twelve employers from Changwon plant joined the clean-up activities for Changwon-city. They sweeping fallen leaves and collecting the garbage in the street.
March 18, Environmental safety team had a briefing session organized by environmental safety at Changwon plant. Key issues of environmental safety briefing, case presentations of each PU and prevention accident and safety was conducted.
March 15, Employers of Jeonju Plant visted the songcheon child-care center, clean-up the facilities and spend time with children. Jeonju plnat delivers the donation to Songcheon center every month.
Ansan plant had the first quarter of 2014 conference of the integration of energy and environment. Starting in 2014, Ansan plant will consistently have the conference of environment safety including information on energy continues to advance. They will evolve the conference to discuss and share the key issues of environmental safety and energy systems.
March 10 to 11, the 17th GPF(Global Production Forum) was held at the Pullman hotel in Changwon . Total 37 people attended this event and discussed about MOVE and Quality. March 11, they also visited the Changwon plant for the benchmarking.
Ansan plant started the mini Olympic event for the activation of communication. They composed the various games such as Jenga, Table tennis, Team jump rope, etc. The mini Olympic event held every weekday by tournament.
Schaeffler was presented a Presidential Award at Coex on Mar, 3. The award was to honor Schaeffler Ansan Corporation as an exemplary taxpayer.
February 21, Schaeffler Korea Supplier Day was held in Changwon City for the purpose of celebrating the performances of suppliers for the year 2013 and 60 participants including the representatives from around 50 suppliers were invited to this event.
February 13 to 14, 2nd workshop for energy and environmental safety of Korea were performed in Changwon plant. Environment Coordinator from each plant attended and shared the efficient operation of environmental safety system, accident prevention safety and energy savings.
February 4 to 5, BearinX online training was conducted in Gyeongnam Technopark. The training showed a high attendance of southern region volunteers who need the training. Schaeffler Korea will make the more chance to show our technology such as the training.
January 4 to 18, two trainers with Mr. Gao, Peng from Schaeffler China visited the R&D Center to have the Strut bearing endurance testers operation training which introduced in 2013.
New Year’s meeting with 37 distributors for Schaeffler Korea was held on 17th of January this year in Seoul. Mr.J.H.Kim, President of Schaeffler Korea, went on to thank all of distributors for their efforts of 2013. Distributors received rewards for their excellent outcomes and contributiveness to Schaeffler Korea business. At the end of meeting, all participants enjoyed lunch together and took a commemorative photo, promising new start for better tomorrow.
January 10, PM/LM application seminar was held in Guro Office. Introduction and description of PM/LM application was conducted through a seminar and the customer representative was attended.
New year kick-off meeting in Schaeffler Korea was held with about 150 employees working in Seoul head office and sales branch on 3rd of January. Mr. J.H.Kim, President of Schaeffler Korea, had new year's address. After Mr.Kim's address, there was a greeting time in an atmosphere of freedom.
